Johnny Ranger is an interdisciplinary video artist and creative director based in Montreal, and the founder of Mindroots, a creative studio specializing in immersive media and multimedia storytelling.
With over two decades of experience, he works at the intersection of art, performance, and technology, developing large-scale visual environments, immersive exhibitions, and multi-screen experiences.
His collaborators include the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT), Cirque du Soleil, Moment Factory, and OASIS Immersion, where he served as Artistic Director, leading the conception and design of art-based immersive exhibitions.
Johnny’s practice spans the full creative pipeline — from concept development and narrative design to visual direction, team building, production supervision, and final execution. He has directed multimedia performances, 360-degree dome films, music videos, and large-scale projection environments.
