Incantations

The landscape of a face

There is nothing more fascinating for me than the human faces and it’s infinite myriad of expressions..
When people talk to me about shoes.. I have to say.. I usually never look there..
I have zero curiosity for feet,  for me it’s all in the face.. and specifically the eyes. There is so much to read in them.

I also love to capture “relating”.. how people interact, how they listen to each other, how they are with themselves.. the proximities or the distance held, the embraces, the laughters, and then the pensive, peace, doubts, stillness.

Perfection of nature and harmony of features, lucky those with an elegant facial feature, but even more if you can feel there is depth behind.. the soul that transpires from within in a sculpted figure. I also am enclned to capture true kindness and authenticity. Even better are the moments that are captured without them knowing, au natural.

I take picture of random people I don’t know while travelling, but what it is quite differentwhen you can take pictures of your friends and you know they trust you and you spy in them for the good cause to save a fleeting moment for archiving.

I have been doing this from a very young age, my father who was a military had a photography lab in his closet. We had great black and white pictures of our family when we were young. We could recognize quality pics when compared to other families, and I just became a documentarist of all my friendship through the times. I know the pleasure it gives when people look back especially if you are able to wait a certain numbers of years before showing them again.
